New to Baileys of Wistow

Five exciting new introductions for autumn

We’ve added some truly eye‑catching new plants to our collection this season — unusual, architectural, and full of character. If you’re looking for something a little different to refresh your garden this autumn, here are five standout newcomers now available at Baileys of Wistow.

🌱 Baccharis

A tough, sun‑loving shrub with fine, airy foliage that brings lightness and movement to borders. Baccharis is brilliant for adding texture, thrives in poor soils, and offers excellent drought tolerance — ideal for low‑maintenance gardeners wanting something a bit different.

🌳 Cussonia

A real showstopper. With sculptural, umbrella‑like foliage and a striking architectural form, Cussonia delivers instant impact. Perfect for patio pots or as a statement plant in modern gardens, it’s one of the most distinctive introductions we’ve ever stocked.

🌼 Hydrangea ‘Little Spooky’

Compact, charming, and covered in neat white flower heads, Little Spooky is perfect for smaller gardens, pots, and shaded corners. It brings reliable summer colour and a tidy habit — a brilliant choice for customers wanting hydrangea beauty without the size.

🌲 Chamaecyparis ‘El Paso’

One of the most unique conifers on the market. El Paso has a cactus‑like, sculptural form with twisting stems and soft, succulent‑textured foliage. Slow‑growing, hardy, and ideal for contemporary gardens, rockeries, or statement containers.

🌺 Alpinia

Exotic, lush, and full of tropical charm, Alpinia adds bold foliage and a fresh, vibrant feel to any space. It’s perfect for sheltered patios or indoor‑outdoor living areas, bringing a touch of the tropics to autumn planting.

✨ Fresh, exciting, and ready to explore

These new introductions bring something truly different to the garden — from architectural shapes to compact flowering favourites. And with new stock arriving all the time, there’s always something fresh to discover at Baileys of Wistow.
